Timber Holiday Lodge Build
Following on from the success of our timber static caravans launch in 2014, we are delighted to now be manufacturing timber holiday lodges as well.
Our current project is for Swallowtree Holiday Park in Saundersfoot, Wales, a wonderful location overlooking the sea. The photo here shows the glulam beams which form the chassis for the lodges. You will also see the timber joists installed along with the OSB sheathing which is put in place to support the underfloor insulation before the floorboards are fitted. The next step is to fit the insulation and floorboards. 200mm thick insulation will be installed between the joists and then solid Redwood 22mm tongue and groove floorboards will be laid on top.
Over the last fortnight the internal stud walls have gone up and this week the first fix electrics have been completed on our timber holiday lodge build, as you can see in the photo. The rafters are also up, and the next step will be installation of the gas combi boiler and hot water system. We have been delighted with the interest shown in this new range of timber buildings, especially from local Pembrokeshire caravan sites and holiday parks.
